A Series of Six Videos on Information You Need to Know During Times of Crisis

Why Did We Create this Series?

The COVID-19 pandemic radically changed the way organizations deliver services. Remote work has become the new normal. And although millions of workers worldwide are comfortable connecting with their jobs from anywhere, for millions, teleworking is a completely new challenge. With this in mind, we decided to produce six videos on the “Information You Need to Know When Providing Services During Times of Crisis.” Our goal is to equip our policyholders with the necessary tools to protect their practices and careers.

Informed Consent

Our second video in the series discusses informed consent, what it is, what it isn’t, and how it helps protect your career and practice. Our presenters answer various questions from allied health professionals. Be sure to download the fact sheet with information from this video.

Social Media and HIPAA Regulations

In this episode, our panel experts share thoughts and advice on using social media. It is very easy to cross boundaries when using social media, both personally and in business. Find out what to think about BEFORE you use social media.

Different Topics

Our panel takes on some common questions many professionals have when offering services via technology. From how records should be retained, what falls in the definition of technology services, and, what happens if some patients want to still meet virtually and others want to return to in-person sessions.

Different Topics

As a therapist, you want to provide good information and resources for your clients. Should you send email links and still be in compliance? Also, some professionals have asked us if all insurance panels are accepting sessions billed via technology, and if so, if the sessions need to be documented in another way in addition to billing? Get answers to these questions from our panel in this episode.

Different Topics

Since this is the last video of our series, we wanted the advice of each one of our presenters on how our insureds should prepare for the “new normal”. Topics include – the physical layout of your office, a sanitation plan, social distancing guidelines, and looking at the fundamentals of your practice.
